Our next door neighbors are a sweet elderly couple, in their 80's. Yesterday their sewage line backed up. Roto-Rooter was called. They scoped their pipe and it showed that the roots from a tree, planted by the developer, caused the piping to get pushed down, breaking the pipe. The Roto-Rooter rep tried multiple ways of getting them a loan to pay for the needed repairs. But due to previous hardships (medical bills), they had to do a reverse mortgage on their home, so they could not qualify. As of now, the rep told them that they could use facilities, but could not flush toilet paper, they would have to put it in the trash, which to me causes a health concern. He also said they could do this for maybe 2 days before it backs up again. It kills me to see them going thru this. Thank you in advance, any amount you can give would be greatly appreciated.
