Hey friends! In the month of May I will be going on a brigade to Nicaragua with a group of students from UVA, as part of the Global and Dental Medical Brigade organization.

Global Brigades is the world's largest student-run global development organization, aimed to improve the quality of life in poorly resourced regions while respecting local culture. It involves a multi-faceted approach to development and to resolve global health and economic disparities. In Nicaragua, we will be setting up mobile medical and dental clinics that provide comprehensive health services in rural communities with limited access to health care, including medication and dental consultation, and OB/GYN services etc. The brigade will also include building sanitation stations and renovation of local homes which lead improve day-to-day living and sanitary conditions. 

I have a goal to raise $2000 by May, which will go towards funding the cost of the trip, medication for the locals and in-country physicians and translators. Please help me by making a contribution online. Feel free to share this with friends and family to help reach our goal! Thank you so much!
