Hello world my name is Nikia Mims and I am seeking your help. Back in June of 2023 I was out with some friends and we were hanging out outside at a social event. I had passed out. I was taken home and once I got home they instructed my oldest daughter to take me to the hospital to get checked out and make sure i didn't have a concussion, a CT was done as well as an MRI. The results revealed that I had a Pituitary Gland tumor that was extremely large. I was immediately admitted into the hospital and had surgery within hours. Pretty scary right. Well after the surgery and the tumor was removed partially in recovery with my family and the Dr. they were checking me out and as they were my vision began to become black I could not see anything but darkness. I had gone blind. I had blood filling in my brain and had to have a drainage put in. Once that was completed I was in ICU for about 20 days of the 25 days admitted in the hospital. After they drained the blood from my brain I was still partially blind in my left eye and because I don't remember but was told that I had a seizure as well. All of this was unexpected according to the Dr the tumor had been there for years and I had no signs of it even being there. The Dr calls me his miracle child because I should not have made it. For as large as it was and to only leave the hospital and go to therapy to learn how to walk and a lot of cognitive therapy is nothing but a blessing. But with all of this going on I can't work and bills are piling up. Doctor appointments and home life bills and being a widow I am dependent on myself to get this done and I can't. I NEED help and a lot of prayer. There does not seem to be a clearance to return to work anytime soon and bills wait for no one. I am a kind and loving person who smiles everyday to get through what I am going through. I still have therapy and I still have partial vision in my left eye. According to the doctors it can take 6 months to a year for my vision to return 100%. I still have to have radiation to shrink some of the tumor that was not removed because it is to close to the optic nerve and shrinking it will potentially stop it from growing and returning. So as you can see I have a long road ahead of me. In this process of my life the Lord has humbled me to ask for help for I know I cannot do this all on my own. I am the type of person who hates to ask for help and I keep everything in to myself. But by doing that it is only stressing me out but making me sicker and I want to live.So I ask for continued prayers and help financially. Thank you and God Bless ❤️❤️❤️
