Our group, #NJunemploymentPandemic has been featured on major news outlets such as, CBS2 New York, NBC 4 New York, News 12 New Jersey, New Jersey 101.5 FM, The Patch and The Daily Wire in Los Angeles, California.
Founder, Michelle Izzi and Co-Administrator, Caitlin Sumner have chosen this platform to quickly and safely raise funds for these families in desperate need. Rather than the traditional fundraiser or food drive, this allows us to get our members monetary relief to put towards food and basic necessities without risking the spread of COVID-19.
After starting this group and several weeks going by now, people are not receiving UI/PUA from the state of New Jersey. People are desperate. We are leaking into 2 months of no funds or answers from the state. I've advocated for my group , major networks have picked up our plea for help and this is a way to put money in the hands of real people who are facing a major crisis.
