Welcome to my 8th annual No-Shave November fundraiser!

When I learned about the Movember movement back in college, I began growing out my beard every November to raise awareness for prostate and testicular cancer. Over the last few years, I have also used the month to raise money for Zero (ZeroCancer.org), an organization that funds prostate cancer research and provides support to prostate cancer patients and their families. I decided to make one change this year: with the federal research funding restrictions affecting labs at school, I will be raising money for melanoma chemotherapy research happening in the Pharmacology Department of the Brody School of Medicine, specifically in the lab of Dr. Rukiyah Van Dross-Anderson.

There's no pressure-- if you want to donate, any amount would be appreciated-- but know that there is a prize for whoever gives the largest donation by November 30th at 11:59 PM. 

The winner gets the opportunity to choose any style in which I must wear my facial hair for 24 hours, and provide photographic proof that I allowed for public viewership of the winner's masterpiece. Those who have seen me recently can confirm that I started growing the beard early this year for maximum stylability (which is definitely a real word that I did not make up just now).

Last year's winning style was called "The Pac-Man." I have included images of some of the chosen styles from previous as well. We'll see what happens this year.
