NPXC Altitude Training
Both the Newbury Park Boys and Girls Varsity Cross Country teams are reigning California State Champions, with the boys also being Nike Cross National Champions. Reaching these goals requires a lot of hard work and the Newbury Park Cross Country team spends four weeks of the summer training at altitude in Big Bear Lake, CA. This has become a tradition that has laid the foundation for the team's success. Due to COVID-19, outdoor destinations such as Big Bear Lake have become a hot spot for vacations and this has made the price of cabin and van rentals skyrocket. In order to make our Big Bear altitude training a reality this year, we are asking for donations to help subsidize the housing and car rental prices so our athletes can continue to put in the hard work training at altitude this summer.
