When Wale came to America to pursue his dream of getting a better education & playing basketball in 2013, he never imagined it would mean being separated from his family for 13 years. Since then, he and his family have missed celebrating together countless birthdays, holidays, weddings, graduations, and the birth of three babies. Financial challenges, immigration hurdles, visa denials, and failed attempts to reunite have kept them apart.

In 2027, we hope to finally change that. Wale, Libby, and their baby girl are planning a long awaited trip to Nigeria to reunite with Wale’s parents, sister, brother-in-law, niece, and nephew. After 13 years apart, we’re asking for your help to make this family reunion possible! Their expenses will include international and domestic flights for family, 10 days of lodging for 9 people, food, updated passports, and the list goes on.
