Ony's Operation
The Great Onyxia is in need of an operation to help bring back her quality of life by removing a cancerous tumor that has suddenly made its home in her gut.
Thank you for taking the time to read about my fund raiser. I am a 39 year old healthcare worker, and suffer from anxiety and depression. I know, who doesn't these days? I spent many years in Emergency Services between ER and ambulance work. This has left me with some lingering issues. Being a part of my little monsters lives has helped keep me going during some of my darkest times.
Ony and her sister (Cookie) saved me when they came into my life as stray kittens 11 years ago and changed my world. Ony is my little Toothless, always curled up nearby with her tail hugging her nose, ever ready for her belly rubs, and murring whenever she would pass by. I often catch her in the window watching the outside world with awe. She is my little adventure kitty, and we made plans to visit a new park this month for some Fall-time adventure pics; unfortunately, I caught the Covid early October, so she's been cooped up while I recovered. I would like your help in giving me the ability to save her world, so she can have the opportunity to live out the rest of her years with her sister on the grandest adventure.
Ony was diagnosed with an intestinal tumor that will require her to have an overnight stay for fluids, observation, biopsy, and (pending biopsy results) surgery with some post-surgical care. She continues to show interest in life around her and puts up the effort to act normal. She continues to cuddle and love her belly rubs and butt pats.
The first step is an ultrasound and biopsy (~$800) to help determine the stage the cancer is at. Then based off the results the offending tumor can be removed (~$1200+). Anything helps, even just sharing my post for others to see. All money donated will be used solely for Ony's care and vet bills, and every little bit matters, anything generated above and beyond her care needs will be used to start a fund for emergency vet bills for others who might be struggling. I appreciate your time reading and sharing mine and Ony's story. For those interested I will post regular updates with photos about Ony and what her status is. Thank you.
