Petey needs your help! My sweet boy needs surgery to remove several concerning lumps that have recently appeared. This will be his third lump removal procedure, and while previous results came back benign, the vet has unfortunately mentioned cancer as a possibility this time around. 💔

Why We Need Your Support

I recently changed jobs and lost the pet insurance that covered most of Petey's previous medical expenses. As a result, I'm facing the full cost of this urgent surgery on my own, which is simply beyond my current financial means.

Meet Petey: A Resilient Soul

For those who haven't had the pleasure of meeting him, Petey is a 10-year-old mixed Staffy with an extraordinary story of resilience. As a rescue, Petey survived unimaginable abuse - he was found with cigarette burns on his head and BB gun pellets embedded under his skin (some still remain there today).

Despite everything he's endured, Petey is the sweetest, most loving companion you could imagine. He's what we affectionately call a "Velcro Pit" - always wanting to be right by your side. His favorite activities include:

• Napping in sunbeams
• Mealtime (enthusiastically!)
• Cuddling with his beloved stuffed avocado and piggy toys

Changing Minds & Hearts

Petey isn't just my beloved pet - he's also the inspiration for an upcoming children's book focused on ending breed discrimination and teaching children that pit bulls are not inherently dangerous dogs. His gentle spirit and loving nature perfectly embody this important message.

A Humble Request

This is my first time creating a fundraiser, as I would not normally ask for help. However, like most dog parents, I would do absolutely anything for my fur baby. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help give Petey the care he desperately needs.
