I am mom, Angela, who is taking my teenagers, Hunter and Cedar, to Europe in April.

We are spending 5 days in Rome and 5 days in another Lyon with a sightseeing train trip in between. I believe that this will be a meaningful, memorable family experience together before they are all grown up and onto independent paths. 

We are all history buffs and are very excited to experience the local cultures and food of the cities we visit. It will be great for them to see how different the world is out there and hopefully it will inspire them to travel in the future.

Flights and accommodations are covered; we are currently saving for food, museums and other daily expenses. 

Some of the things we are planning are driving into the Alps to the medieval town of Annecy, Ostia Antica (archeological site), scenic train ride between Lyon and Rome, Musee des Beaux Arts, Testut- Latarjet (nicknamed the Museum of Horrors) and of course, the Colosseum. If you have any other must see day trips in these regions let me know! 

I am humbly inviting any of you who read this to donate any amount you like to our food and museum budget. We will be getting market groceries and snacks for most meals to avoid steep restaurant costs but we would like to experience a few fun restaurant meal in each city plus some famous Roman street food and French cafes.
