Our First Home
Hello, my partner, Shani, and I are almost 1 year into our first year of marriage and we want to find a home to call our own. Unfortunately, with the current economy and debts being paid for college, we don't have the funds for a down-payment on a home. We have the budget for a monthly mortgage but saving is at a snails pace.
We are hoping to get some assistance to get the next chapter of our lives together started. We want to enjoy having a home that we can truly call our own and not just borrowing someone else's walls and floors. One day we want to raise a family as well and don't want to risk suddenly losing our living space while we grow.
We do have an eyes on a home already, and are hoping to have the funds raised to be able to jump on the opportunity for place that really captures our hearts and we can see being in our long term future. So every little bit helps! We'll even accept crossed-fingers and cheering us on as we know times can be hard for everyone currently.
While it may be a surprise for some, we're looking at moving to Montana. In short details as to why, a few years ago we drove up there to visit an online friend for the first time and go to the Montana Renaissance Faire. Within the first day of being up there, we fell in love with the state and town. The wide-open skies, fresh air, sense of community, and the friendliness of everyone around. Since that trip, we've been back every year since and have made a lot of new friends and have already set roots where we want to be! The surrounding areas had so much to do that piqued our interests as well, like seeing historical sites like pictograph caves, being within a day drive to Yellowstone National Park, and just everywhere feeling so connected with nature. We'd love to invite friends and family to our home one day so they can experience the same!
At the least, thank you for the time you took to read this, and maybe follow along if you want to see our progress towards our new life!
