Nanuk The Bear

Our sweet boy, Nanuk, is suffering a traumatic illness.

For unknown reasons, his immune system has been fighting and destroying his own blood cells. It’s agonizing and so terrifyingly heartbreaking to see our little bear so distressed. Nanuk has been with our pack since he was a puppy. The story of how he came to us is one of friendship, generosity, and immense gratitude.

Always so vibrant Nanuk has lived; smiling, playful, and loving unconditionally with boundless loyalty. He’s given our family endless joy over these 8 years and has sired beautiful boys and girls who are deeply loved and cherished by their forever families. We simply will not give up on our little bear.

There are no other Japanese Spitz boys like our Nanuk; who’s an amazing part of our family; our pack.

We’ve brought him from our Davenport home to undergo treatment and investigative care at the University of Florida Veterinary Hospital in Gainesville. There, following a blood transfusion, the doctors will perform a number of tests and procedures in an effort to determine the cause(s) of his condition, so that we can know how best to save his life and bring him back home to our pack, who clearly miss him as much as we do.
