As many of you know I was diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer in June of 2021. By the end of September, we were told I had to have a total hysterectomy to prevent it from spreading. What some of you may not know is that before the surgery, Alex and I were able to create 2 viable embryos in the hopes we could still have a baby of our own. We hoped we could find a friend to surrogate for us, but no one was able to meet the strict medical standard. If we are to ever have a baby, we have to go through a surrogacy agency - and this is very expensive. The average cost is $120,000 - we already spent $15,000 on the embryos and have saved up another $20,000 on our own, but that still leaves us over $80,000 short. We have applied to every family grant we can find, but that is luck of the draw.
