Patching up Patches

Our little Patches came to us less than a month ago. We rescued him from a coyote that had him cornered under a shed and had already taken other victims which we believe may have been mom or a sibling. Although completely terrified, he finally came to us after a few hours of working to get him out and was thankfully not injured. After cleaning him up and giving him lots of snuggles and food he became an instant part of the family, our little lone survivor.

Yesterday evening Patches started showing signs of what we thought may be Parvo which can be fatal so we immediately got him into the vet. The tests led the vet into recommending x-rays because of his symptoms there was concern there may be a blockage.

So Patches has gone into surgery after discovering what looks to be a small piece of wire in his intestines. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers we are so worried and are keeping faith that our little lone survivor comes through this. The vet has confidence that he will come through and heal but this urgent surgery has our hearts in knots.

The unexpected costs of this have become more than we expected or could have anticipated which is why we are reaching out for any help possible. The goal is an estimate following what we've already covered and if there is anyone out there willing to help our Patches we are beyond grateful. And if it's only prayers we are so so beyond grateful for those as well.

Thank you for taking time to think of our Patches!
