PayDebt or be Homeless
When our son was born prematurely at 32 weeks, our lives changed instantly. Along with arriving early, he suffered a ruptured bowel and faced several other critical medical complications that required him to spend over three grueling months in the NICU. While we are endlessly grateful that he is a fighter and made it through, the path to get here came at an overwhelming financial cost. During those terrifying months by his bedside, I lost my job. To keep the lights on and provide for our family while navigating round-the-clock medical crises, I had to rely on high-interest loans just to get by. I’ve spent the last two years working relentlessly, paying over $1,400 every single month toward that debt. I truly believed I could dig us out of it, but the interest and financial strain have made it impossible to keep afloat. Today, between these loan payments and housing costs, my entire paycheck goes straight to bills. There is nothing left for groceries, utilities, clothing, or the basic necessities our children need. We are now facing the heartbreaking reality of losing our family home. Asking for help is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do, but we have completely run out of options. If you are in a position to donate, any amount—no matter how small—will help us catch our breath and keep a roof over our children's heads. If you aren't able to give, sharing our story means more than you know. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, support, and compassion.
