Craig Engelke
Payton United World Games
I, Payton Engelke, have been selected to participate on the United World Games Tour from 21 - 27 June 2023 with the PhD Hoops Travel Tours program! This experience will give me the opportunity to travel to Germany, Austria, and Italy with other players from across the country to represent the USA in international basketball competition. Additionally, it will allow me to learn more about this unique place, meet new friends, and gain a cultural education that will last a lifetime!
Out of a pool of applicants, I was fortunate to be chosen for this tour based on my playing ability, character, and desire to be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
In order for this trip to become a reality, I need to raise $4,462.00 no later than May 31, 2023 to cover my portion of the trip expenses. All donations will go directly toward the cost of the tour. If you would be willing to help me, I would greatly appreciate your donation. If you do decide to donate I would be more than happy to keep you updated on how the tour is going.
A little bit more about me, I have been playing basketball competitively since 2018 - going on 5 years now. I grew up playing multiple sports, but I noticed early on that basketball is where my heart was. Basketball is truly my passion, I have such a deep love, commitment, and enjoyment for this sport. Being out on the court playing with my team brings me so much fulfillment and joy. I really love having a team unit to learn, develop, and push each other to grow into our best selves on and off the court. When I am not playing basketball, I really enjoy spending time with my family. As the oldest, I know that my little brother and sisters are watching me and look up to me - I take pride in leading by example and developing them. As much as I want to see myself succeed – I want to see them grow up to be equally if not more successful. I am honored to have the opportunity to positively influence and guide my little brother and sister throughout their lives. I want to show them that your dreams can and will come true if you believe in yourself and put in the work required to turn your dreams into reality.
My overall goal is to earn a scholarship to play basketball in college. I am highly committed to both my academics and athletics to turn my goal into a reality. I know that the daily habits I create today control my success and outcome for my future. I have decided to succeed on purpose and not leave anything up to chance. I am not afraid to create big goals for myself, because I know that I am willing to put in the hard work, effort, dedication, and consistency needed to make my goals a reality. I am aware that my future is being developed by the daily healthy habits and mindset I create today.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration as this is a dream come true for me to wear a USA jersey and represent our country! I promise to do so with the appropriate class and sportsmanship. More info can be found on line at www.PhDHoops.com/TravelTour
Sincerely,
Payton S. Engelke
