In Memory of Barbara Thompson, her wish was to provide donations to the Peace Garden in Columbus, Ohio. The funds will be used to place a statue at the Peace Garden in her memory. Barbara helped create the Peace Garden at Franklin Park through the support of the International Voluntary Organization (IVO).

This International Peace (with justice) Garden was accepted as a legacy to the citizens of Columbus by the late Mayor Dana Rinehart. The Peace Garden is not only a showcase of Columbus as a cosmopolitan city but also promotes volunteer initiatives, cooperation, and cultural understanding which could lead to PEACE.

Barbara was a member of the Board of Directors of the IVO
