Hello,

My name is Kimberly Huber. My husband Dan and I are hoping to raise money to Patent a pet-related invention that is unlike any item currently sold on the market.

My husband and I have been investing all of our spare time into this invention for quite some time now. We are asking pet lovers to make donations of even the smallest amount of money to help us to raise the funds that are necessary to be able to patent our invention that my husband Dan and I have been working endless hours on, for about the past three years.

I can't give many details about the invention because that would require a non-disclosure agreement to be signed by anyone who we discuss the invention with. A non-disclosure agreement is a confidentiality agreement between the inventor and one or more individuals that details have been discussed with, including our Patent Attorney, whose office is located in Sioux Falls, SD. The non-disclosure agreement protects us, the "Inventors" from an individual or a company that decides to copy our idea and market it without our permission.

Several months ago, we consulted with the Patent Attorney in Sioux Falls, SD. We were charged big bucks by the patent attorney to perform a patent search to find out if someone had the same idea as we did, and there were no pending patents on the invention that we have created and are planning to market. Aside from us, no one else has come up with the same invention idea and that means that we can patent our invention. Hopefully no one else comes up with the same idea and gets to the patent office before we can actually raise the money to patent our invention.

We have invested a lot of money into purchasing the parts and equipment for our invention during the past three years. Equipment such as a Creality 3D Printer measuring 31" L X 25" W x 28" H plus the materials that the printer requires to be able to print from it, such as endless spools of PLA filament to be able to print the parts, glue sticks, a leveling kit so that your print turns out perfect and that the filament does not lift from the glass it is printed onto. If your print lifts, it is very frustrating. The print becomes unusable and then you are paying for the electricity that was wasted. Some parts take days to print, such as the body of the invention which prints in one piece, taking nearly 4 days to complete. It prints 24/7 and does not stop until it has completed the part that was programmed to print.

We have invested a lot of time and money into purchasing various PLA filament spools, a magnitude of several hundred parts such as wiring, a full-size soldering station with soldering wire for use in electronics, bread boards, relay boards, nuts and bolts, switches, backup batteries, delicate hand tools, USB boards, electronic digital calipers, diodes, alarms which send out an alert if something should go wrong, multiple motors, LED emitting diodes, soldering boards, conveyor belts, and God only knows what else. We are very close to the next and final step... marketing our invention.

I cannot disclose to you what the invention's exact details are, however, I can tell you that this invention is an automatic pet food feeder that does not perform like any other automatic feeder on the market. Any automatic feeders sold in stores like Petco and PetsMart, or through online retailers such as Amazon and eBay do not carry feeders of this type like the invention we have been working on.

So far, we have printed three of these feeders on our Creality 3D printer. Our very first feeder that we had printed is being used by our senior cat, Yoyo, as a test feeder and he has been testing it for about a year without problems. The feeder was designed to help cats who over-eat and become obese. Our invention is also designed to cut down to a minimum amount of vomiting, which at times cats do quite frequently. Unfortunately for us, we fall victim to stepping in it. Obesity leads to health problems involving your cats' heart, which is not good at all. There is also an app that you can download that notifies you when your feline has consumed his food or just was not hungry and has not eaten the food at the scheduled time. It also includes a battery backup which automatically switches over in case of a power outage in your area. The feeder will continue to operate in the normal manner without the hassle of resetting the feeding times, the date, and such.

We all love our pets, they are family, and it's heartbreaking to us when they become ill. Sometimes, we have no choice but to let God take them to a better place and that is very depressing to a lot of Pet Lovers. Yoyo was born in my house; it will be 13 years this coming August. When his time comes, I will become depressed and grieve deeply. Yoyo is very special to me, and I wish he could live forever.

Please donate whatever amount of money that you can afford to, so that you can make our dreams become a reality. When we reach our goal, we will then have our invention patented and marketed.
