Hello Friends, Family & All Good-Hearted People!
This is truly both a heartbreaking and heartwarming story. While on a bike ride in Philadelphia, I came across a sweet little puppy in the need of major help. I spotted her through construction fencing, nestled in a corner of the Laurel Hill Cemetery.

She was completely helpless, barely moved, and clearly needed to be rescued. There were no identifying tags and it was late on a Saturday evening and I was unable to reach any animal services. I called a friend who lives in Philly and with the help of some other amazing people, we were able to recover this abandoned puppy and take care of her immediate needs.

It was clear she had sustained an injury to her hind leg, but It wasn't until a visit to a Philly VEG revealed a fracture that would certainly need medical intervention.

We spent several days searching the local lost pet sites without success, there were no tags and the dog had not been chipped. The four of us were able to secure donations in the way of a crate/harness/collar/water bowl/toys...etc. However, with the high cost of the surgical procedure and future expenses of follow-up x-rays/examinations/Vax/Chip, we need to raise money to ensure this sweet animal gets the appropriate care she deserves.

At this time, she is being cared for in a safe and loving home and it is our intent to continue to provide her care. She is very trusting and so very gentle. Over the past few weeks her personality has really started to come out. She likes to play and do puppy things. She also likes to fall asleep on people and she LOVES to clear her crate and organize her toys! She has a calming effect and is SUPER smart and has already learned several commands. It was immediately clear when we found her, she is a very special dog.

Having had dogs & cats in my family and knowing many of you are animal lovers, we know what it means to have this special bond. At 16 weeks old, this sweet girl has already been through enough and still has a long road of recovery ahead.

My wonderfully compassionate friends, who jumped in to action and came to the rescue that night, have done most of the day to day work looking after our new furry friend. We are all committed to doing what we can through the recovery process.
Can you imagine what it felt like to be abandoned, injured, alone, and helpless in a cemetery? Won't you please join our efforts to help this sweet Philly Pup? With your support, we can truly make a difference!
