Play Back for Kids
Play Back for Kids
Hi everyone,
My name is Hannah Brown, and I am a resident of Hendersonville.
Over the past few years, I’ve noticed a concerning trend in our community: more and more children are spending their free time isolated on screens rather than playing, laughing, and connecting with one another outdoors. Furthermore, many of our local middle schools face budget constraints and lack the recreational equipment necessary to keep students engaged during lunch and recess.
That is why I am launching Play Back for Kids.
My goal is to provide Spikeball sets and active-play equipment to local middle schools, fostering a healthier, happier, and more social school environment. A single game can bring dozens of students together, helping them build friendships, stay active, and develop crucial social skills outside the classroom.
How Your Donation Makes an Impact
Every dollar raised goes directly toward purchasing durable, high-quality recreational gear. Here is how your contribution translates into real-world impact:
- $75–$80: Sponsors one complete Spikeball set.
- $500: Funds roughly 6 to 7 brand-new sets for an entire grade level.
- The Ripple Effect: Each set allows 6 to 10 students to play simultaneously, meaning a single school donation can get 40 to 60 children off their phones and actively engaging with peers every single day.
Target Schools & Transparency
- Phase 1: Local middle schools within the Hendersonville area.
- Phase 2: Expanding to surrounding districts as fundraising milestones are met.
Why This Matters Now More Than Ever
Our youth deserve genuine moments of joy, teamwork, and outdoor physical activity. By supporting this initiative, you aren't just buying sports equipment—you are investing in a kid's mental health, physical well-being, and social development.
Whether you are able to make a financial contribution, share this campaign with your network, or simply advocate for the cause—thank you. Together, we can bring real play back into kids' lives.
