The focus of this petition for funds is centered around food depravation in urban communities. As a certified horticulturist specializing in greenhouse operations, I have transformed my urban property into a state recognized Farm. Currently, I have applied for a hoop house on the property which will allow me the ability to extend the growing season, protect plants from severe weather & control the microclimate to increase crop yields. I also have a desire to teach the younger generation in urban communities the importance of how to grow and sustain their own food.
