Hi my name is Lacy Osburn.

I am running this crowdfunding campaign to help my cousin Joseph Melancon and his family.

February 16, 2017 Christina woke up and found Joseph unresponsive and not breathing. She started CPR and called 911.

In the ICU unit he was in a coma, unresponsive and on a vent. The doctors determined at 41 years old and physically fit, he had a massive heart attack. They were giving us very discouraging statistics and not much hope of a recovery physically or mentally.

We are so thankful that Joey woke up, knew who everyone was and is off the vent. 

His heart is very weak and running on 25%. They are fitting him with a heart vest to wear until he is strong enough to get a pacemaker or a heart transplant.

His wife Christina an Air Force veteran has had to take off work without pay to stay at the hospital and take care of their children. Joey works part time so he can stay home and take care of their four year old special needs son, therefore he doesn't have insurance.

We are trying to get him on emergency Medicaid to help with the bills, medications and future surgeries. 

Let's help them out of some financial worries. The money raised will be greatly appreciated and used directly to help pay his medical bills until the Medicaid kicks in.

I am trying to raise around $3,000.00. If you can donate anything then please do. No amount is to small. If you can't that is ok, you can still help by sharing this crowdfunding campaign with your friends and family and by keeping Joey and his family in your prayers.
