When my daughter was 2 months old I was kicked out of the place I was living. Not knowing where to turn or where I would be able to live; I signed a temporary guardianship paper that was never filed with the courts. When I went to get my daughter back from the couple that has my daughter; they had blocked me where I could not get in contact with them. I have been trying for the last eight months to get my daughter back. I went to the courts, who had nothing in their system at the time. Then I called the social worker that was involved; she wouldn't give me any information. I even had a consultation with a lawyer who gave me some advice. I did everything the lawyer advised to do and nothing worked. Everything I did resulted in no information as to where my daughter was. I finally wrote the governor to ask for help; he turned it over to the state CPS and that's when I found out that the couple had filed a petition to adopt my daughter with the courts. We go to trial the end of June but it will cost me over $10,000; money I don't have. Any help to get my daughter back would be appreciated. Thank you.
