For those who don't know me, I'm Sean, Bill and I have been best friends for 31 years. For those that do know me, you know that I never ask for help.

Bill's had a massive heart attack last friday afternoon. He wasn't found until Saturday afternoon. He had been outside on the ground for 24+ hours. Because he is diabetic and didn't get his insulin, his kidneys are failing. He faces a long road, he'll be in the hospital for another week and then rehab.

Bill has had a rough time these last several years. He lost his job after 19 and 1/2 years, he had to wait 6 years to collect a pension that is small because he didnt work there 20 yrs. He's exausted all savings and his pension only covers his mortgage. He has been ill and hasn't worked in several years.

Bill lives alone with his dog in a very small one room studio, which he owns. He has been ill and unemployed for several years. Unfortunately, his home is in need of structural repairs. He is also kind of a hermit and I found the condition of his house to be in squalor. My wife and I have paid out several hundred dollars in the last few days to get his power turned back on, buy the materials to replace a rotted window and exterior wall, paint, cleaning supplies, dump fees, etc.

Our funds are depleted and I still need to pay the carpenter, replace his toilet and bathroom vanity that are broken. I had to throw away the toaster oven, coffee maker, microwave, etc. I have to replace them . Any funds received will be used to buy materials to repair as much as possible and to replace the items i simply had to throw away. If there is any extra, I'll use that to get his cable and phone back on when he comes home, or maybe just put it in his bank account to help with next month.

He has only a few friends, and no family that can help. He's my friend, my brother, I have to step up, reach out and try to get him help. 

I will do all the painting, sidewall, drywall, insulation, cleaning, and whatever else I can get fixed.

So, with a stream of tears and a heavy heart, I have to ask you, will you help me help Bill?
