Please, Help My Brother
Hi, I am reaching out to please ask you for your help today.
I am looking for a free mobile home or a free camper for my brother and his wife, and just a little help moving it for them.
About 4 months ago I found out my brother was released from prison and I went looking for him. I found him sleeping in a hidden pile of blankets behind a grocery store after the rest of my family turned their backs on him. His wife was in the hospital, her kidneys failing. He was a mess. I stayed as long as I could, and did all I could but here is his story...
He was released from prison a completely different person, and rather than help him, my family chose to ignore him and the problems associated with exoffenders reentering society.
I live over 200 miles away and my brother and his wife are more than welcome in my home but I myself am facing foreclosure and my home is about to be taken away for back taxes because of an extended unemployment, and for the lack of jobs in my area. So, I am about to be in his shoes myself in about 2 weeks.
I am not worried about myself because God will provide, I am worried about him and his wife. His wife has a medical condition and has trouble getting her medicine to control her condition and often they go hungry. She has been in and out of the hospital. They have been bouncing in and out of homeless shelters for a while now, and he recently he had a nervous breakdown when she was admitted to the hospital this last time.
He won't leave the area because the hospitals are familiar with her condition and that is the only place he feels that she is safe.
He is 27 years old. Too young to live such a bleak existence.
I decided to pray to God for an answer and ask God to help them...Now I am asking you.
They just need a chance. A day without wondering where their next meal will be. Or wondering where they will sleep because the shelters are full. Wondering how she will get medication, or him wondering if anyone will ever hire him because he is an exoffender. They struggle just to have a place to sleep and on any given night you can drive by and see them snuggled next to each other behind that grocery store and his protective arm covering her from the elements.
The hardships they face creates a vicious cycle in our society and often exoffenders go back to prison because of the difficulties they face after being released. He has problems providing even just basic necessities for them and he is too proud to ask for help. I do not want him to do anything that will send him back to prison and I often talk him off a cliff when he has given up hope. He has reached out to me numerous times and I know he just wants a normal existence.
Can you please help them? Please? Even if you do not have a mobile home, or a camper, or a job for him can you please help with just a a few dollars? Even just $1 would help. I am putting my faith in God and people like you to help him and his wife.
Everyone deserves a second chance at life. If you cannot help them then please, please, pray them.
I hope you find it in your heart to help them. Thank you and God bless you.
