My 7 year old dachshund Rookie twisted weird recently and spilled his 11 and 12 discs in his back leaving him paralyzed and needed surgery immediately to be able to hopefully walk again. He came out successfully but then got an infection in his right lung. We’re trying our best to make him comfortable and stable to have a full recovery. Wishful thinking! These surgeries, medications and hospital stays aren’t cheap and we’re desperate to try and keep our baby alive.
