Please help our family

My name is Heather and my husband, daughter, and I have been living in Morgan Hill for two years. We are originally from North Carolina and really do not know many people.

I normally wouldn't even try something like this because I prefer to earn my income; however, being that my hands are genuinely tied, it's truly needed and a friend of ours suggested making a fundraiser. When it rains, it definitely pours... My dad passed away unexpectedly just few short weeks ago and we haven't even been able to afford the trip back to North Carolina to make it for services.

In addition to that,

My husband is disabled with a wide variety of health issues. He was taken out of work by his doctors last June and told to apply for disability; however, he was denied even though he has PTSD, severe diabetes (his sugar is rarely below 300), neuropathy, and only has partial vision in one eye (no right eye at all due to an accident when he was younger). Unfortunately, the specialists do not believe he will have his sight for much longer... No chance of improvement.

He was just released from St. Louise Hospital in Gilroy, California, the day before yesterday because he had a stroke while just trying to shave

We do receive CalWORKs for the time being as I am needed with him and my daughter around the clock now.

Our BIGGEST issue is that our lease will be running out soon and the disability appeal is not going to be complete at the time we will have to leave with nowhere to go. I've been selling Carolina BBQ plates to supplement income best as I can on weekends, but our family genuinely needs help before we are homeless on top of it all, and with my husband's health that would be disastrous because he takes meds that have to stay refrigerated.and oxygen at night

Anything helps and eventually adds up. Any proceeds collected will go toward either deposit/rent for somewhere to go when our lease is out,

or help us to make it back to the East coast (We do have a vehicle.) However, it's not really even big enough to sleep both of us and my 8-year-old daughter. For the local safe parking sites

I'm even willing to trade homemade Carolina BBQ plates for help because I'm not really trying to get handouts; we just truly and genuinely need help and I am fresh out of options.

Thank you for your consideration and God bless you and yours.
