Please Help Save Mac

My name is Erica and I'm a SoloParent to an energetic 2 year old and what was three fur babies until yesterday. Yesterday while visiting with our BFFs, what we thought was a good day turned into one of pure horror. You know how they say when it rains it pours well the shitstorm that is hitting my family turned into a flood. First my dad is getting sued by our neighbor for a reason that makes no sense. It's over a tree. Then plumbing issues left us without water for about a day or so. Now all that was bad and expensive yes, but what happened yesterday is THE WORST. Apparently a big dog got into our backyard and I had my two littles fur babies outside and my BFF said something was wrong with my boy Mac so I went to see and sure enough he was covered in slobber and blood and so I started calling for Maggie (his daughter) and no answer. So I went to the back and poor Mac kept trying to get up but couldn't so I'm calling Maggie and getting worried expecting the worse. Preparing myself for the worse. I'm looking by the back of the fence and going with a broom in hand in case I encounter whatever did this and finally near the way back by the neighbors back fence and ours I find her and yes she's passed on. In the most horrible way. It looked like whatever it was that got her was trying to drag her off. Mac looks like he was trying to save her. He's covered in slobber and bite marks. Finally I get my two year old into the car and Mac in a box and in the car and my dad is trying to take care of Maggie and I get him to Angel of Mercy Animal Hospital in San Antonio, Texas and they say it's going to cost at least $900 + to save him. I'm freaking out my sis has come with me and I just can't afford that. I can't even afford the lower end $500. I ask them to do what they can and I feel terrible and they make you feel a bit more awful since you can't do the $900 price tag. So they have done what they can and it just cost about $600 which Thank God my sis payed even though she really can't afford it either.  Meanwhile during all this we are chasing my son around. He has no clue what is going on and well he's a toddler trying to have a good time wherever he goes. We go home mainly feeling defeated. My son looks at their bed and just sees Remmy (the matriarch, whom thankfully wasn't hurt since she was inside) so he starts looking for Maggie to "steal" his fries. (He would feed them to her and act like she stole them.) Sadly she will never steal them again.
So I was sitting at the emergency vet cause they said to be there by 7 AM or they would charge us $250+ extra. I finally got to take my brave guy home by 9 AM and I'm just hoping he survives the rest of the day and so on.  He is covered in small cuts bite marks and some small but open wounds that need to drain. He has a doggie sling basically so he doesn't move his arm or head too much. They believe he has neurological damage since his front paws keep curling and he flops to one side. He looks just awful my poor baby. My heart breaks for him. He can barely breathe and I'm not sure if he will make it through the day but I can't afford to do any more for him so this is where this campaign comes in.
I would use the money to take him to another vet that is hopefully more reasonably priced so I can get his X-rays and see what we are really dealing with and to see if he needs any surgery. He also needs some stitches for sure which they wanted to charge about $200 for. I couldn't pay that so they said to treat it like open wounds. I would post pictures of his wounds but I don't want to subject anyone to those images. Let's just say it's awful. This thing that attacked my poor pups must have been huge to fit his whole head plus part of his neck and thrash him around like a rag doll. The doctor doesn't think he will be the same that if he does survive he will be a special needs dog. I feel awful asking for money but we do what we have to do for those we love. I want to do for Mac what he has done for me and my family. He is our great protector.
