My daughter adopted Dutch from a rescue organization when he was 8 weeks old. As he grew his front legs began turning out like a basset hound. Today Dutch is just 6 months old. A couple weeks ago he began limping. My daughter brought him to the vet, expecting to hear he had injured himself...hoping it wasn't related to his front legs. The vet immediately referred her to an orthopedic veterinarian. This was no injury. Dutch has a malformation in his growth plates in both front legs. His X-ray alone costs $1000. The surgeries to fix both legs are estimated at $3000 each. My daughter is a single parent. She works 2 jobs to support her family. This has been devastating! If Dutch does not have the surgery, he will lose the use of his legs & continue to be in excruciating pain. Please help save her dog.
