Poetry Reading & Workshop
This April, for National Poetry Month, let's bring award-winning poet and teacher Danielle Coffyn to Michigan for a FREE public reading and conversation about creativity.
You may have seen Danielle's Pushcart Prize-winning poem, If Adam Picked the Apple, making the rounds on social media: https://thenorthmeridianreview.org/blog/if-adam-picked-the-apple-and-other-poems. Her first book is also coming out in March of next year.
In addition to her writing, Danielle hosts the monthly Poetry is Medicine virtual writing hour, which she calls "a celebration and exploration of poetry for all of us who grew up feeling like poetry was too vague or confusing."
Danielle is also the founder of the Nature & Nurture Hiking and Writing Retreat and co-founder of the Superbloom Society, a women-centric, inclusive writing community.
Your donation will help pay for Danielle's trip to Michigan for an afternoon spent reading and discussing poems in an accessible and friendly environment. The event will be free and open to the public--including writers of all levels, abilities, and interests.
