Pool Renovation Project
The School District of the City of York, which is an urban school community, located in York, Pennsylvania, is looking to renovate its high school swimming pool. William Penn Senior High School is the sole high school which resides in the educational community. In the City of York. William Penn Senior High School once had a functioning competitive swimming pool along with a dive tank. Both pools were closed in 2009 due to needed renovations required by the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association . In 2017, the school district along with Pennsylvania lawmakers set out to fundraise $1.2 million to make necessary renovations with the hopes of reopening the swimming pools in 2019. Unfortunately, that funding goal and opening date was unsuccessful.
Our community in the School District of the City of York is asking for all stakeholders who are responsible for educating the whole child to engage and participate in the fundraising efforts to acquire $1.2 million to make the necessary renovations to both swimming pools. Help our fundraising executive team promote our initiative to state lawmakers and critical key stakeholders to make this project into a reality.
