Yesterday on the grounds of 'Cedar House' property a massive terrifying fire broke out with no warning. No one has any idea how it happened, although maybe the fire inspector will figure it out. Thank goodness no one was physically hurt.

Cedar House is the name of a community-based property with 3 sets of tenants living on it. Tenants who socialize, look out for one another, and get along great. My two daughters and I live in the upstairs of the large house, the second set of tenants live in the downstairs of the house, and finally the third set out back in a large structure covering a large RV, which is their home.

The fire started sometime around 330pm yesterday afternoon and instantly ignited the RV as well as all the space and building structure above and around it on fire. It was a huge, massive roaring fire and even burnt the sides of trees over 60 feet away. It also burnt a large part of the garden and surrounding vegetation and ground.

Needless to say, Parry and Bob, (the tenants in the RV), lost their home and all of their possessions, aside from their car. At first, heartbreakingly, we thought their cat had been trapped inside and died in the fire. Amazingly the cat somehow got out and was found by the downstairs neighbors around 11:30 last night when he went outside. So that is one small miracle to be thankful for.

Although Bob and Parry had some insurance we don't yet know how much or what it will cover. What we do know for sure is that it will not cover everything that needs to be replaced by a long shot. Therefore one of the best ways I could think of to help was to create this fundraiser to help them get on their feet and figure things out as well as buy essentials like clothes and toiletries and food, etc...

Bob and Parry have been wonderful neighbors and have become friends in the 1.75 years I've lived here at Cedar House. I can't imagine how hard this must be for them and I am hoping we can help them out a little bit so they have the time and resources to reshape and renew their lives and figure it all out as one must after a devastating disaster such as a home fire.
