This great gal Roamie has come into my life through a mutual facebook group for van life and she's in a desperate situation and I'm doing what I can to help her. I feel that the universe has brought her into my life so that I can help her get on her feet. She is 8 months pregnant and homeless and needs to get into to a home asap. She left an abusive relationship and was traveling and living in her car. She sold her car and bought a van to live in and a few weeks later the axle broke and caused an accident and stranded her in Portland where she is now. She had it towed and was left shelter-less. All the homeless shelters have waiting lists, she's gotten some help from the state to cover some nights at a hotel. She needs a permanent home which is what I'm trying to help her raise money for. Her pregnancy is high risk and should be on bed rest, and she's in survival mode so finding a job today isn't the fix and won't solve her immediate shelter needs. I'm teaching her my business which can be started with no money and she is motivated and I think will do well with it, but she needs to get set up in a home first otherwise all she can do is focus on daily survival. I know there are Roamie's all over the world and we can't help everyone, but she has come into my life and now I'm reaching out to friends and family to help me help her. I help with causes when I can and am hoping the circle of paying it forward will come back around.
