I fell behind on rent in January because of a miscalculation and winter break. As a school bus driver, we dont get paid breaks. At the end of January there were almost 2 full weeks of work loss because of the deep freeze that hit the Midwest. The school I was driving for does not pay snow days. So I lost a total of nearly 3 weeks of work setting meneven further behind.

Because of the way the property management company operates, I wasnt able to both catch up the rent in time and keep the utilities going, and the temperatures made it unsafe to let the utilities go. Now between stacking late fees, legal fees, and the turn of a new month, I'm 3 months behind and battling eviction.

I've lost my job as of 2 weeks ago (not keen on discussing that.) And have no way to catch this up. I've applied for all the aid I can find and its pretty much tapped out. Im applying to everywhere near me thats hiring, but that takes time to get a paycheck still.

What savings I have toward the total is trickling out because I still have bills to keep and still need to eat. I am desperate. Any amount helps, even a share. I didn't ask because I was embarrassed, and now I've got no option but to publicly admit defeat and ask out loud. Please, if you can help, I would appreciate any and all bits.
