Many of you have told me that you could never thank me enough for starting the PWBHL, and I am so grateful for your kind words. I have asked for very little in the past year from you, but I am here today to ask that if this league has been a positive force in your life or the life of someone that you care about, I am asking for your help in taking the next steps for our league. We have completed step one of the non-profit filing and will eventually be rebranding, which requires trademarking and legal fees. In addition, we are in need of community support to be able to provide more opportunities for our members as well as to support operation of the organization.

Donating to a non-profit provides the organization the chance to make a difference in areas where they once were limited. With a non-profit status, our organization can continue to grow and provide even more opportunities for our players, including expanded programming, increased opportunities for athletics, education, training, and player development, facility rental, apparel and equipment rental/purchase, tournaments. events, travel, fundraising efforts, and operating costs.

A non-profit status will give the organization increased financial freedom to apply for public and private grants, as well as attract more donors and sponsors who can claim a deduction on their taxes regarding a gift or donation to a 501(c) qualified organization.

What you probably don't know is that for a year, we have operated on a ZERO dollar budget, which severely limits what we are able to provide and pursue for our players. So help us by being part of the solution...tell your friends and family how much this league means to you and ask them to donate any amount. Bonus: Since we are pursuing a non-profit status, their donation will be considered as a charitable donation towards the non-profit, retroactive to the date of filing. Win-win.
