The Pyraegea community is the burner community based in Greece, where Pyraegea, the Greek Water Burn event happens. If you have heard about Burning Man, then you already have an idea of what a burner community and event are about. 

Burn events are unique and amazing social experiments, non-profit and voluntary-driven, that create temporary social environments which support radical inclusion, radical self expression, participation, self reliance, unbridled creativity, a money-free, gifting economy, immediacy of experience, and they leave no trace in the environment after they are finished. There are by now dozens annual such events of various sizes worldwide, in 35 countries, and they keep spreading, just because they're so damn awesome! 

We are a new, budding community of Burners with a big vision, that of having a fabulous, amazing burn event based in Greece and a beautiful community to support and run it. As of 2017 we are running our new annual Greek burn event, Pyraegea. Read all about it at pyraegea.org.

This is a non-ticketed event, but we still need money so that we can offer YOU, the people of the community, art & project grants, a solid event & community infrastructure, to cover community running costs, and maybe... in the future, the community's very own vessel, to act as the center of the Pyrofleet playa. So if you're part of the community, this contribution comes right back to you!

Disclaimer: The floating part of this event involves sailing boats at the moment, which are rented. Those boat rental costs are paid exclusively and fully by the their own crews. No money from this fund will go towards boat rental expenses. 

All income and expenses relating to the Pyraegea community will be fully disclosed in an annual financial report that will be posted on the website pyraegea.org.
