I don't really know how to write these. Talking about myself is hard and I don't really consider my being trans as some “story”. My first thoughts of possibly being transgender started around 6th grade and i finally accepted that as a fact and told my family about two years ago. They are supportive of me but I still find it hard to be myself because of my body image, specifically my chest. I've been on testosterone since August 11th, 2022. It's a slow process but I really need top surgery and I've met with a surgeon twice to advocate for myself. I see and therapist and a doctor regularly. All that is keeping me from top surgery is the money. My family recently lost Medicaid, but I’m reapplying for myself and I am on my mom’s insurance, but neither will fund any portion of gender reaffirming surgery. I've tried working, but I’m on medication and am currently undergoing psychiatric treatment. I am looking for another job currently though. I just need help. I need to raise $500 before i can even schedule my surgery. I’ll be 20 in January and I feel like my life hasn’t even started yet.
