On August 10th, at 7:34 AM, a devastating 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck Colombia. My family lives in the small town of Arabia, just 35 miles from the epicenter in the city of Pereira, Risaralda. The violent shaking was absolutely terrifying and felt never-ending. Their home was destroyed, and my grandmother's house was also badly damaged.

Even though the house is now dangerously unstable and actively collapsing, they've been bravely going back inside, risking their lives to salvage whatever fixtures, appliances, and furniture they can, in hopes of rebuilding.

On top of losing their home, their beloved dog passed away in the days following the earthquake, adding even more heartbreak to an already devastating situation.

Every donation will help them get basic necessities, repair what they can, and slowly rebuild their lives.

I've created an Instagram page where I'll be sharing updates, photos, and exactly how every dollar is being used, so you can see the real impact of your kindness: @helpingheartscolombia

Your support during this heartbreaking time means more than you know. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
