I'm reaching out because I'm in a hard season and I really need some help. After twenty-three years, I left a domestic violence marriage and moved here to Texas from Georgia with my three youngest children to start over.

Right now we don't have a car that runs, and that has put a heavy strain on everything. I've been working as a virtual assistant, but that position ends September 1st because of a lack of funding; they can no longer afford to keep me on. Without a working car, my only real options are to build my own business or find work from home, and I am actively doing both. I am looking for work, and I am building a business so I can stand on my own feet.

I don't receive any government assistance, and I don't receive child support. My husband and I are separated, and I'm on the verge of filing for divorce. I'm simply trying to rebuild my life with Christ, one day at a time, with my kids beside me.

My current rent balance is $4,400, which covers both July and August. I have to appear in court on the 27th of August for July, but my landlord will not accept July's payment on its own. They want August as well, or they consider it partial rent and won't take it at all.

Anything additional will help me until I can secure another job, and possibly help me to get a stable car.
