Casey Henderson was critically injured September 22 while playing football for his Refugio High School team.

Funds Needed to complete the rebuild of his family's Home Damaged by Hurricane Harvey.

• The citizens of Refugio decide to offer support for Casey and his family.
  
  
• On Monday September 25 the town came together to have a prayer Vigil.
  
  
• Although there were many other families in town that needed help after Hurricane Harvey Hit Refugio on August 25,
  
  
• It was decided that Casey's family who had no Home Insurance, needed help finishing the repairs to their home since Casey's parents, Charlie and Nicole Henderson, needed to stay with him in the hospital as he fought to recover from the football injury that left him paralyzed.

• Coach Herring mentioned to his pastor, T Wayne Price of First Baptist Refugio, on Monday that he needed to find a builder to come work on the Henderson's home.
  
  
• Just hours after that conversation the Lord provided a builder.
  
  
• The very next morning (Tuesday) a General Contractor, Brian Miller, from First Baptist Pflugerville and 2 of his employees arrived at the Henderson home.
  
  
• The original plan was to at least get siding on the exterior of the home but immediately Brian discovered the inside of the home had extensive damage that also needed repairs. The entire inside of the house had to be gutted down to the wood framing.
  
  

Obviously it was going to take more than just a day or two and a few hundred dollars to do the repairs. It was now going to be weeks and thousands of dollars as well as more than a 3 man work crew.

The very next day God provide a crew of 10 people from as far a way as California and as close as members from First Baptist Wimberley.

The word began to spread and Coach began to raise funds for the project and people in the community stopped to help on the repairs and bring lunches and gift cards. Although a sizable amount of money was given more would be needed.

It was decided to raise funds via social media.

By the way – Casey has improved and he does have some movement in his extremities. Keep Praying, Giving and Volunteering.

Charlie and Nicole saw the progress on the home for the first time Saturday, September 30.

They were overwhelmed at the progress and the plans to remodel the interior of the home.

A time of praying together with the volunteers was held and tears and hugs were shared.
