Hi, my name is Kelsey Godfrey. I’m 23 and live in Piqua. I’m not someone who asks for help, but an unexpected medical emergency has turned my month upside down.

Earlier this week, I was rushed to the ER with severe abdominal pain. It escalated fast and I needed emergency surgery. I’m grateful to be okay, but I’m facing a stack of out-of-pocket medical bills and a sudden loss of income while I recover. I work hourly, so every day I’m off my feet means no paycheck—and rent and utilities won’t wait.

I’m asking for support to cover the critical things that can’t be put on hold while I heal:

• Medical costs not fully covered (ER, surgery, medications, follow-ups)

• Rent and utilities so I don’t fall behind while I’m out of work

• Groceries and basic needs during recovery

• Transportation to post-op and physical therapy appointments
