On August 25, 2020, Abisai and Tahni Garcia welcomed their third child, Reichel, into the world. Shortly after coming home, Reichel was readmitted to the hospital because she was not eating and having seizures. The seizures were happening once every few minutes and she has been having incredible difficulty maintaining healthy blood sugar levels. It has been difficult for professionals to determine the exact cause of these medical problems and the best treatment for this sweet baby girl. The doctors told the Garcias “they have never experienced what they are seeing” and that “she is an anomaly”. Because of this complicated condition, many specialists have been brought in and special tests are needed to be done to help Reichel. Their time in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) will be extensive and expensive. 

My goal for this fund is simply to alleviate some of the financial burdens that come with this unexpected hospitalization. The money raised will be used for baby Reichel's medical expenses incurred during her NICU stay and all those little things that add up- transportation costs and hospital parking, food cost, etc. This is not only an emotionally taxing time for the family but unfortunately a very costly one as well. 

The Garcias are close friends and if you know this couple, then you've seen firsthand what selfless and compassionate people they are. Let's show them some love and support in return! There is no gift too small and I appreciate you taking the time to visit here.
