"Reliable Car Needed
Hello, my name is Arlis Fisher. I’m a proud Texan who moved to California to build a life with the woman I love. For a while, everything was going right. My fiancée worked as a project manager and I delivered full-time for Uber and DoorDash. We both had reliable vehicles, steady incomes, and were supporting ourselves comfortably.
Then, in the span of just one month, our entire world collapsed.
My fiancée was suddenly diagnosed with end-stage liver failure. At the same time, our landlord informed us he was selling the house and gave us only one week to move out. We had no choice but to sell my delivery vehicle, leave behind most of our belongings, and return to Texas to live with my disabled mother.
My fiancée is now fighting for her life. She is waiting for disability approval so she can get on the liver donor list and receive the transplant she desperately needs. Without consistent medical care, her condition continues to worsen. We also have no reliable transportation for her frequent doctor visits and hospital appointments.
I’ve been trying to keep us afloat by delivering on our one remaining vehicle, but a few months ago it started breaking down repeatedly. We scraped together $3,000 to pay a mechanic for major repairs, but the car only runs for a day or two before becoming undrivable again. We are now completely broke, with no income and no safe way to get around.
Without a reliable vehicle:
My fiancée cannot get the medical care she needs to survive.
I cannot work consistently to support us.
We remain stuck in survival mode instead of focusing on her recovery and getting back on our feet.
A dependable car would change everything. It would allow me to work full-time again through delivery apps, get my fiancée to every medical appointment on time, and give us a real chance to stabilize while she waits for a donor and disability approval.
We are not asking for luxuries — just a used, reliable vehicle (or the funds to purchase one) so we can stop living in constant crisis and start moving forward again. Any amount you can give — whether $5, $20, or more — will go directly toward transportation that could literally save my fiancée’s life and help us rebuild.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read our story. Your support, prayers, and shares mean more than you know during this incredibly difficult time.
