Relocating for medical
My husband who's Vietnam veteran just passed away in February and for the last 5 years I've been caring for him without any compensation from the VA. He passed away from service connected problems at the VA hospital and I have been fighting with the VA to try to get widow's pay. He was only rated at 70% so I don't qualify for guaranteed spousal support. I've been in the process to try to get monthly income coming into the house since April. I haven't even been able to put my husband's ashes in the veteran cemetery yet because I've been scrounging up whatever I can as far as work goes to try to make ends meet. I have applied for disability being the fact that I am visually impaired and recently found out that I have the genetic disorder that is so rare it doesn't even have a name. And I'm going blind as well as having cognitive impairment. I live in Arizona now and have this just been informed by my geneticist in Tucson that there are no resources here in Arizona for someone with my condition. I have multiple genetic mutations with multiple variants involved and he informed me that there is not even any literature on my condition and they can only guess at the rate of impairment but can guarantee that I will be blind with severe impairment cognitively in the very near future and it was suggested to me to look for assisted living as soon as possible. I am unable to work because I can't drive due to my impairment of my vision and we kind of live in the mountains so there's nothing close or within walking distance for me to even try to get employment at. I suffer from fibromyalgia as well and some days are good and some days are bad and that makes it very difficult to commit to a schedule. I attended a eviction court hearing yesterday morning because I was behind on rent the property manager filed for eviction when I was 6 days late. Now that it's gone to court and they've hired an attorney I cannot pay the difference on top of rent for the month of November and now December rent has been due so I'm looking at close to $3,000 at the court ordered me to pay and I have to be out by Sunday the December the 8th. I only have one option and then is to relocate from Arizona to Cheyenne Wyoming where my mother lives. There seem to be some promising possible resources for visual impairment there and she also lives right next to the VA hospital within eight blocks. There are multiple things that are within walking distance that I can apply for work at for the meantime but I have less than $400 to my name and I need to rent moving truck and pay someone to drive me to Wyoming with my belongings then fly them back. I am desperate at this point it is just myself and my two dogs one was my husband's ESA the other dog was supposed to be going through service training for myself but I have not been able to afford it. I'm not asking for a lot I'm just asking for help quickly and it's just the bare minimum to get me there with my belongings and to get whoever is able to take me a flight to get them back home to Arizona here. That way as soon as I can get there I can get myself settled I can finally put my husband's remains to rest in the national cemetery there in Cheyenne Wyoming. Please I beg of you to help in any way possible even a little bit helps because I don't have time to sell everything I own and I can't leave anything behind because I don't know how long it's going to be before I can provide anything for myself extra I need to move my furniture and I have antiques that are family heirlooms that I can't lose. My medical paperwork as well as my husband's medical and military history documents cannot be left behind. They're everything to me at this point they are the only thing that's going to secure my future and those papers alone would fill up an SUV with document boxes. I'm looking to rent a 16 ft moving truck under whoever drives me's name and tow the vehicle that's in my husband's name still on a tow dolly behind the truck with my belongings inside of the moving truck and my dogs in the back of the SUV being towed. I need to get two tires in the rear of the SUV because it would never make it there being towed on a dolly that's if they will let me use a tow dolly I may have to get a platform Tower but my tires are bald and I will be having to sell the vehicle as soon as I get to Wyoming because I don't have time to do it before I go. I live literally have four days to leave the state of Arizona and I need to get to my mom's so I can get insurance established and begin my medical processes all over again which is going to take time. I've already applied for disability and been denied because I don't have a diagnosis with a known cause or any kind of known treatment. I have been working my butt off as a handyman around my area for little old ladies and people on restricted incomes just to try to make ends meet by way of food and keeping the lights on with the phone bill being paid. I just don't have any more energy and I'm not making any progress in packing because I hurt so bad all over. Please help me as much as you possibly can I may have to hire a mover to come and help me pack but literally I am desperate for help
