Remembering Debbie

To the family and friends that have had the pleasure to know my mother,

I want to share with you about my mom, Debbie, who had an extraordinary impact on lives across the globe. Her vibrant personality could be summed up as "crazy," "silly," and utterly "memorable." She radiated love and kindness, touching the hearts of everyone she encountered.

Sadly, Mom passed away on January 14, 2024, at 4:23 PM, after battling several health complications, including liver disease stemming from long-term hepatitis C. Though she overcame the disease several years ago, the lasting effects remained. This situation, unfortunately, made it impossible for her to obtain life insurance, leaving the financial responsibility of her final services to my father, Rich Sr., who is already facing significant financial stress.

To support Dad and honor Mom's final wishes, we have set up this page. It's a means for us to come together, offering support and alleviating the burden of these unexpected expenses.

Losing Mom has left a profound void in my life. She was my guiding light for nearly 34 years, teaching me invaluable lessons and loving me, my sister Viktoria, and her many "adopted" children from around the world — the exchange students whom I proudly call my brothers and sisters — unconditionally.

Though Debbie is no longer with us, her spirit endures. She is now at peace, in the loving embrace of Jesus, free from suffering. Our goal is to honor her remarkable life and legacy by gathering her loved ones to celebrate the joy and love she spread.

Mom, your love and light will always be a part of me. I will miss you every day for the rest of my life.

With all my love,

Richie and your Husband Richard Sr.
