I am a disaled Vet, retired US Army with 22 yrs+ service, Honorable Discharge. Used to live in San Antonio, TX, where I recd. most dental care from Lackland AFB Dental dlinic. Moved to Houston in 2021 due to family reasons and COVID scare as we had no family in San Antonio. Have a daughter in Houston so we moved here. Had a dental bridge installed due to broken teeth in 2013, great job, had in done in Malaysia while visiting there (cost: $ 500). Late 2021 it broke accidently when I bit on a pizza crust on the bridge itself. The bone supporting the bridge also broke so a replacement bridge cannot be placed on the gap (missing teeth). Have researched a lot about findng a cost effective solution & cheapest options available but am left now with very limited options, all of which are very expensive and beyond my means.

I work part-time in WALMART. My WALMART dental insurance will pay only upto $ 2,500 per year for all dental work, to include implant. Had an appt with Clear Choice Dental Implant Center on Gessner Road, Houston, TX on 4 Jan 2024. After a complete examination, X-Rays, & consultation with the dentist specialist (for implants) I was given three (3) options with the cost estimates ranging from $ 50,000.00-$30,000.00. $ 30,000.00 being the cheapest possible option for an implant which is what the dentist told me I needed in order to fix my dental problems. I elected the lowest cost option which is still $ 30,000.00 which is still too much for an average person working part-time in WALMART. I am not eligible for VA (Veteran Hospital) Dental Care since I do not have a 100% disability. My disability rating is below 100%, therefore not eligible for VA dental care. I am now left with no choice other than try to procure the funds through donations as I do not have that kind of money to pay for dental implants.

In the interim I continue to research on line for cheaper options but I am finding out that they are all very expensive, however I am sure some of the others may be slightly cheaper than Clear Choice since I believe that Clear Choice is the top of the line and the leader in this service sector. In either case, it is a very expensive solution which I cannot afford.
