Hi friends! My name is Alexa and I live in Oklahoma. I work at an animal sanctuary during the day, and take massage clients in the evening. My main income is from a non-profit where I get paid little hourly. Although my budget is tight I do try to still run my own small rescue on the side. I have been doing this since I was 16, now 27. There is a very high stray dog and cat population here in Oklahoma and my phone number gets circulated around through word of mouth. I take in those stray animals that I can help and get them fully vetted and into forever homes. Between the vet costs of medications, vaccination, spaying and neutering, food and many supplies, and sometimes boarding… I end up with big bills to pay off. I charge them to my carecredit in hopes that I'll get donations but often times that never happens and I end up paying for thousands of dollars from my own paychecks. My goal is to raise money for my outstanding vet bill, because I know it won't be long till my heart is tugged to another animals direction and I will need funds to do so.
