Honoring Barbara Eaton: Funeral Expenses & Justice
On the night of Wednesday, September 9th, 2026, at around 9:15 PM, my grandmother Barbara Eaton—a deeply generous and caring woman—was killed in a tragic hit-and-run just one small block from our home.
Grandma was on her way to deliver freshly grown fruits and vegetables from her personal garden to friends on the other side of Bellflower Blvd. in Lakewood, California. It was a walk she had made countless times over the years without incident. Tragically, while crossing the street, she was struck by a vehicle whose driver and passengers fled the scene immediately with complete disregard for her life. She passed away from her injuries shortly after.
She was born in the very same Lakewood house where she lived her entire life. She was a strong, warmhearted woman who faced life's setbacks with quiet grace, never letting hardship stop her from being a good person and looking out for others. Her steady love, especially for me, shined through in everything she did.
As I navigate this profound grief, I am asking for your help to give my Grandma the peaceful and dignity-filled memorial service she deserves. No amount is too small, and every single donation or share means the world to me. If you are unable to donate, please share this campaign page to help spread the word.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, prayers, and support during this painful time.
