Hi my name is Brent Ray, from the time I was tall enough to help out, I have always loved being in the kitchen, cooking and baking with my Mom and Grandma. As I got older, that love was further enhanced when I took a high school class called St.Johns RESA Food Service and Hospitality Program under the direction of the late Marvin Smith. This class taught the students everything from the basic measurements, cooking and baking from scratch, and the fundamentals of restaurant management. Since I have graduated, my dream has always been to open my own restaurant. I want to do some updates and incorporate my Fire/EMS and Military into my dining room, being im a US Navy Veteran, and have worked in public service as a Fire Fighter/EMT since i graduated High School. The first restaurant I had found, failed on the electrical structural and mechanical inspections, leaving me to locate another restaurant or to build my own. I am submitting this fundraiser to see if I am able to procure the money for a restaurant or to build acompletely new restaurant without using the bank, or to at least enough to assist me in using a bank. A completely new restaurant will be pushing in the ballpark of about $650,000 or more.. If I am not able to procure enough money for the restaurant, I would like to design, start and run my own mobile kitchen, which has a price tag of about $65,000. Any amount will help get me to my dream!
