Several years ago, I survived a violent assault that left me with a broken jaw. Unfortunately, it never healed properly, and I have lived with pain and difficulty eating and speaking ever since. My doctor has told me that dental implants are medically necessary-not for cosmetic reasons, but to restore my ability to chew properly, speak comfortable, and protect my long-term health.

On top of this, life has taken an even harder turn. In September 2023, my landlord forced my son and me out of our home without notice, taking everything we owned. Since then, we have been without a stable place to live, and I currently have a legal claim against them. The stress of being displaced, losing everything, and trying to keep my son and myself safe has left me with very little resources to cover such a major medical expense.

Despite these challenges, I am close to graduating as a Holistic Health Practitioner-a career path that reflects my passion for helping others heal and live well. Unfortunately, my insecurities about my teeth and the daily pain in my jaw have held me back from moving forward fully in this journey. Dental implants will not only restore my health, but also give me the confidence to step into my new role and share my passion with the world.

I want to be transparent with everyone supporting me: I chose not to make a video for this fundraiser because of how deeply embarrassed I feel about my teeth and jaw. This has been one of my biggest insecurities, and while it's difficult to admit, it's also why these dental implants mean so much to me, they will help me regain my confidence and my voice.
